Canine Good Citizen Evaluations

This is a Canine Good Citizen evaluation only. No training is included during the test.

The CGC evaluation assesses your dog's ability to remain calm, neutral, and responsive around people, dogs, and everyday distractions while working with you as the handler. Dogs must already be prepared for the test in order to pass.

Each evaluation includes a private one on one session with an AKC approved evaluator, completion of all CGC test items, and guidance on paperwork submission if your dog passes. If your dog does not pass, you will receive clear feedback on what needs work and honest recommendations for next steps.

A few things to know before scheduling. This is an evaluation, not a lesson. No coaching or training will be provided during the test. Dogs that are not ready will not be passed. Passing is based solely on CGC requirements. Dogs that need additional preparation can enroll in private lessons before retesting.
